Former UCI English Ph.D. student Michele Currie Navakas has an NEH at the Huntington through August 2018 to work on her second book: "Coral in Early American Literature, Science, and Culture." Her first book Liquid Landscape will be published October I by U of PENN Press. Michele teaches at University of Miami, Ohio.
