Everyday Ethics: A New Graduate Reading Group

Being a good person is, by the standards of most modern moral theories, extremely difficult.

The reading group "Everyday Ethics: Demandingess and Excellence in Everyday Life" explores the ways in which we might respond to these difficulties. Should we give up and settle for being less than moral, abandon our theories, seek a lower standard, or something else entirely? Our primary lens is analytic moral philosophy, though readings also include contemporary continental and ancient philosophy.
