Building Foundations in Science-Engaged Theology: Insights from Philosophy of Science

SET Foundations (Building Foundations in Science-Engaged Theology: Insights from Philosophy of Science ) is a grant funded by the John Templeton Foundation and hosted by Loyola University Maryland. Our goal is to connect scholars working in philosophy of religion and theology with recent insights from philosophy of science on topics such as causation, explanation, modeling practices, scientific confirmation, and natural laws. We will offer a variety of opportunities for philosophers of religion and theologians to engage with philosophy of science, and fund research and pedagogical projects that integrate philosophy of science with theology and philosophy of religion.
