Congratulations are in order for 2019-2020 Chancellor’s ADVANCE Postdoctoral Fellow in History, John C. Marquez!

• The Omohundro Institute has just announced that Dr. Marquez has been awarded the 2020-2022 OI-NEH Postdoctoral fellowship. Click for announcement.
• Dr. Marquez has accepted a position as Assistant Professor of History at Colorado College, and will start in the fall.

John Marquez will be giving a talk at UCI on Monday, March 9th in HG 1010. The talk, "Witnesses to Freedom: Memory and Testimony as Counterarchive in the South Atlantic World", is open to the public. For event details, click here.
