This certificate recognizes specialization in histories of gender and sexuality as well as the interdisciplinary methodologies that have shaped this sphere of research, including, among others, feminist and queer theory. Courses will consider issues around inequalities, representations, identities, and social movements. This certificate program may prepare students for graduate study and/or careers in diverse fields, including law, journalism, social policy, social work, public health, film studies, and the arts.

Students must complete four courses from the following list and maintain a minimum combined GPA of 3.0. Each course may only be counted towards one certificate, and no substitutions are allowed.
