This certificate recognizes extensive study of histories that cross and transcend national boundaries and pay particular attention to global and transnational currents. These may include questions of migration and diaspora, social and political movements, conflict, and the flows of commodities, people, and knowledge. This certificate program may prepare students for careers in law, journalism, foreign affairs and international relations, public service, journalism, and NGOs.

Students must complete four courses from the following list and maintain a minimum combined GPA of 3.0. Each course may only be counted towards one certificate, and no substitutions are allowed.
