Access Asia Graduate Student Writing Workshop

Monday, 2/13/23 at 11 am- 12 pm
Location: HG 1002
Workshop led by: Professor Judy Tzu-Chun Wu
Facilitators: UCI Center for Asian Studies Graduate Student Fellows

The Access Asia Initiative at the Center for Asian Studies at UCI is pleased to invite all graduate students across the UCI campus to our first graduate student writing workshop on 2/13/23. We invite students working on dissertation prospectus, journal articles, grant applications, dissertation chapters and so on, to attend the workshop to learn ways to frame, draft and sharpen their writing projects in this hour-long workshop. Bringing a draft is not a requirement but may help get the best out of the workshop.

Dr. Judy Tzu-Chun Wu, Professor at the Department of History and Asian American Studies has graciously offered to lead this workshop. We hope to engage in a formative discussion about strategies of effective and lucid writing and hope to learn from her illustrious career in academic publishing.

We have space for about 20 participants, on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please make the workshop a success by joining us next Monday. Light refreshments and coffee will be served.

Best wishes,
Christine, Gunn and sridipta.
