The DHX will host the third critical data studies reading group on Wednesday 1/24 at 10am in HG 1010. Please join us for a stimulating conversation in the morning as well as bagels and refreshments.
We will discuss the Introduction and Part 1 of Yarden Katz's book Artificial Whiteness: Politics and Ideology in Artificial Intelligence (2020) which is accessible through the library and JSTOR.
Here is a link to register. At the last meeting we discussed reading a more substantial chunk of a recent monograph. However, please do not hesitate to join us if you only have time to read the introduction or first chapter of Katz's excellent book. We have had some great conversations in the past and are looking forward to more exciting discussions in 2024. If you haven't joined us before, please do!
