
The UCI Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies invites applications for the Fernando and Olga Niebla Latinx/Hispanic Studies Graduate Fellowships for summer research or writing.
Application deadline: April 7, 2025
Award amount: two awards of $2,500 each
Notification: by May 30th, 2024
Eligibility: PhD candidates working on Latin America (including Brazil), the Caribbean, and US-Latinx
studies.
Fields: Humanities or Social Sciences/Social Ecology using humanistic approaches and
methodologies.
Fellowships will be disbursed in July 2025 and should be used towards research travel, dissertation
writing or other activities that allow the student to advance his/her career during the summer.
Requirements: Project description (two page maximum); CV (one page maximum)
