Call for Artists Deadline: April 27, 2018: Segerstrom Center for the Arts seeks to commission a local artist who will create a temporary outdoor installation communicating the theme, “Connecting Communities Through the Arts” in celebration of the newly redesigned Julianne and George Argyros Plaza.
The imagery is open to your interpretation, though Segerstrom is particularly interested in highlighting the diversity of Orange County and the role the arts play in uniting the community. The final piece will be displayed on one (or more) of our lightweight towers and installed on Argyros Plaza, where it will remain in place for 1-3 months. The selected artist will receive a fee of $2500 and a separate budget of up to $500 for materials.
