The TH!NK philosophy in schools program has been designed to introduce early adolescent schoolchildren to philosophical thought and discourse. Established by Professor Marcello Fiocco, and run by him in conjunction with trained graduate students, it has been a tremendously popular initiative in local schools. The project confirms the educational importance and value of teaching philosophy, as it provides students with more than just a body of knowledge, but also a way of thinking about the world around them and the challenges they face. It also provides graduate students with useful experience of teaching philosophy at this level.
