I am a PhD student in an English graduate program. My primary research interests are the theory of novel and narrative theory, genre, and Victorian literature and culture. I am a first-generation Korean immigrant who moved to the USA about 9 years ago, so as a graduate student instructor in the Composition program, I try to develop course themes that link my cultural background to my own research interests such as the genre of gothic and pathologization of social illness.
