I am a cultural anthropologist, development consultant and DEI advocate with 15+ years of experience leading teams and research studies to inform decision making in media, entertainment and academia. In a past life, I was a bassoonist.

Prior to teaching at UC Irvine and working in entertainment, my research focused on theories of human capital in the post 2008 Global Financial Crisis context in South Korea.

Upon completing her Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology, I wanted to return to creative pursuits. I shifted my focus to writer’s rooms, planning research and workstreams for showrunners, executive producers, writers, and actors on projects like "Godfather of Harlem,” Season 2 that was nominated for several NAACP Image-Awards and won critical acclaim.

When I’m not busy with work, I surf, enjoy the LAPhil and LA Dance Project. In between, it’s likely that I’m over ordering food for the fun of it.
