Grad Slam features short presentations by UCI graduate students and postdocs about their dissertations in a condensed format that presents the larger arc and aims of their research projects. Participants receive training in research narrative development (workshops with faculty) and public speaking and presentations skills (professional group and individual coaching). Students who complete the program receive a $250 research stipend.To apply: Please send Julia Lupton (jrlupton@uci.edu) a brief email describing your dissertation or research project and telling us why you’d like to participate. Deadline: January 13. Limited to 12 students.
