Summer GSR Position: Communications Fellow

The Humanities Commons is hiring a Graduate Student Researcher for Summer 2017 to work on communications projects identified as part of the “Speaking of the Humanities: Building Communicative Capacities for UC Humanities Center” workshop held in January.
The Communications Fellow will work closely with Julia Lupton, Faculty Director; Amanda Swain, Executive Director; and Next Generation GSR Ryan Gurney on a number of communication projects including:
o Re-design of the Humanities Commons website
o Development of a monthly email newsletter
o Development of an events “communications checklist”
o Wordpress websites for programs under the Humanities Commons umbrella
o A survey about the Humanities Commons services for faculty and graduate students
This is a Step III GSR position at $21.73 per hour for 80 hours total (gross pay $1,738.40) during summer 2017. Schedule to be arranged with an expectation of 8 hours a week for 10 weeks.
This position is open to graduate students enrolled in a PhD program in the School of Humanities.
Preferred: Experience with WordPress and HTML
