Shakespeare's historic drama features a pair of mature lovers at once drawn together and torn apart by the creative-destructive forces of love and war in a world-historical crucible shaped by enmity, rivalry, and hospitality. Julia assigns parts, scene by scene, breaking frequently for discussion. No background in Shakespeare or drama required. Participants encouraged to read ahead.
