250 students from Segerstrom High in Santa Ana attended a day of lectures and demonstrations. Their teachers were all UCI alums. Letty Garcia (PhD in Drama) gave a short lecture on her dissertation on Shakespeare in Mexico. UCI alum Stephanie Keefer directed Letty and herself in dramatic readings. The UCI Libraries hosted a calligraphy demonstration and a viewing of the First Folio. Shaken Shakespeare made a surprise appearance! Fun and learning was enjoyed by all.
Thank you, Bob and Vivian Folkenflik, for helping make this event possible!
