This event will celebrate the publication of UCLA Law Professor Alex Wang's contribution to the Cambridge Elements Global China Series. In a dialogue with historian of China and East Asian international relations specialist John Delury, Wang will introduce themes from the book. He will also draw on his extensive experience taking part in international conferences on environmental issues, working with an environment-focused NGO in Beijing, and teaching about law and the environment.
Alex Wang is a Professor of Law at UCLA, where he is also the Walter and Shirley Wang Chair in U.S.-China Relations and Communications. He is the author of Chinese Global Environmentalism, just published by Cambridge University Press.
John Delury is an independent scholar based in Seoul and a Senior Fellow of the Asia Society's Center on U.S.-China Relations. He contributes regularly to newspapers such as the New York Times and magazines such as Foreign Affairs.
Both are Public Intellectuals Program Fellows of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations.
