Calling all educators, New Swan patrons, and the UCI campus and community: join us for a deep dive into UCI's production of Romeo and Juliet.

SCHEDULE

11:30am | Gather for boxed lunches and networking

12pm | "Exploring the Binary in Shakespeare's Work" with Julia Lupton (UCI English) and Jesús López Varga (New Swan Shakespeare Festival). We will discuss the power of binaries within Shakespeare's storytelling and the conscientious production of his work in contemporary times.

 12:50-1:30 pm | A pre-show concept presentation and Q&A with the director of "Romeo & Juliet," Andrew Borba (UCI Drama). 

1:30 pm  | Regroup at the Irvine Barclay Theatre for showtime!

2pm | Performance at the Barclay
