Bedevilled / Film synopsis
A successful young professional woman returns to the island of her childhood and is shocked to find her best friend treated as a slave, a plaything and a work horse for the residents. After a series of shocking events and a tragically failed escape there is no option left but brutal and desperate revenge.


Cheolsoo Jang

Born in 1974, Jang studied Visual Design at Hongik University in Seoul, Korea. He worked as an assistant director on Korean films including SPRING SUMMER FALL WINTER…AND SPRING, SAMARITAN GIRL by KIM Ki-duk and LOVE, SO DIVINE by HUH In-moo. His short film ESCALATOR TO HEAVEN was shown and acclaimed at many film festivals such as Pucheon International Fantastic Film Festival and San Diego International Film Festival.

Jang has made a successful feature debut with BEDEVILLED which premiered at Critic’s Week of 2010 Cannes Film Festival. The film has won Puchon Choice award at Puchon Int'l Fantastic Film Festival, the Audience Award and the Best Actress Award at Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas, and the Audience Award at AFI Fest.
