The Oregon Tech Dental Hygiene Class of 2020 (Klamath Falls) has achieved a 100% pass rate on their dental hygiene board examinations administered by the Central Region Dental Testing Services, Inc., allowing each graduate to apply for and receive their dental hygiene licenses. This class of 22 students graduated in March from the Oregon Tech Dental Hygiene Program, earning the Bachelor of Science degrees in Dental Hygiene. Board exams were originally scheduled for the end of March, which would have allowed these graduates to seek immediate licensure. However, the coronavirus pandemic resulted in the cancellation of all board exams, thus delaying graduates from licensure and work opportunities as dental hygienists. Dental Hygiene faculty and staff worked diligently to reschedule these exams as soon as possible, becoming one of the first campuses in Oregon to provide these exams and usher our graduates onward to licensure. Congratulations, grads! Our Salem campus has also rescheduled their board examinations for late August. We are hoping for an equally positive result for Salem’s Class of 2020!
