Student Community Service-Learning Showcase!
You are invited to the Spanish 108: Spanish for the Professions Community Service Learning Showcase!
Join us to learn about how students in the Department of Latin American and Iberian Cultures are engaging in the Spanish-speaking community through Community Service Learning!
During Fall Quarter 2026, students collaborated with diverse campus and community organizations to learn from and with each other, while co-designing a lasting product that serves the organization and Spanish-speaking community.
At this event you will:
- Hear how undergraduate students connected with campus and community partners through collaboration, service, and civic engagement.
- Learn how undergraduate students applied and developed Spanish language and intercultural skills in a professional setting.
- Understand how undergraduate students and community partners co-created lasting impact while growing as professionals and global citizens.
- Celebrate the hard and meaningful work of the students learning from and with our community.
- Learn about the products that the students co-created with their community partner.
- Network and meet other people!
Friends, family, faculty, and community partners are welcome!
There will be light snacks and refreshments, and a chance to mingle and network!
