Congratulations to Kenneth Wright, one of the winners of the Film and Media Studies Summer Internship Award!
This summer Kenneth Wright worked as an audio editing intern at Finding Founders. Finding Founders is a podcast based in Los Angeles and showcases the vibrant entrepreneurial spirit of the world and their journey to find the founders responsible. This podcast is hosted by Samuel Donner in partnership with UCLA.
Kenneth’s responsibilities in his internship entailed editing short 3-7 minute weekly episodes combining music, sound effects, voiceovers, and interviews to create audio masterpieces using Adobe Premiere Pro. Previous to this internship, Kenneth was unfamiliar with Adobe Premiere Pro and now he is able to seamlessly edit audio and video files.
In addition to editing, he also recruits guests for the podcasts and manages all of the communication and bookings. For each guest, Kenneth would research and document a comprehensive profile and backstory of them.
This scholarship is funded by a generous donation from UCI History alumni, Leon Dudevoir, in support of Film and Media Studies’ student internships. Mr. Dudevoir had a career as a film executive for New Line Cinemas, working on films like The Notebook, Rush Hour, and Blade. He’s now retired and lives in Portland, and wanted to support current FMS students looking to enter the entertainment industry.
