UC Irvine’s School of Humanities is proud to announce that 15 of our faculty have received the Unit 18 Faculty Professional Development Award this year. Granted by the UC-AFT Council on Professional Development, the award supports non-Senate faculty in sharpening their teaching practice and exploring new pedagogical approaches.
Unit 18 faculty are a vital part of the School of Humanities, contributing their subject-matter expertise and unwavering care for student learning to classrooms at UCI every day. That dedication is exactly what the Professional Development Award was created to recognize, and this year 15 humanities faculty were among the 34 honorees campus-wide.
