Please join us for a brief presentation and Q&A on academic publishing. Our guest, Dr. Timothy Mennel, is executive editor at the University of Chicago Press, where he acquires books in American history and on the Chicago region. He has previously been an editor at Random House Adult Trade, Artforum/Bookforum, Princeton University Press, and the American Planning Association, as well as a consultant to the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, the Rockefeller Foundation, and several museums. He holds a BA in English from Carleton College and a PhD in geography from the University of Minnesota.

All are welcome, but faculty, postdoctoral scholars, and graduate students in book-based disciplines are especially encouraged to attend.

Please contact Dr. Andrew Highsmith (highsmia@uci.edu) with any questions. Co-sponsored by the Department of History and the Humanities Center.
