Join us for the next installment of the Critical Data Studies reading group. We’ll meet at 3pm on Monday, March 17 to discuss Mirca Madianou’s newly published monograph Technocolonialism: When Technology for Good is Harmful (Polity, 2025), available online through the UCI Libraries. We’ll focus on Chapters Two (“Biometric Infrastructures”) and Five (“The Humanitarian Machine”), but, as always, read as much or as little as you like. This reading group will be offered in hybrid format; register here for the Zoom link. Hope to see you there!
