Ping Chen Hsiung is Professor of History at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and currently serves as the Secretary General of the International Council for Philosophy and Human Sciences / Conseil International de la Philosophies et des Sciences Humaines (CIPSH), a non-governmental organization within UNESCO. Dr. Hsiung has been jointly appointed by the UCI School of Humanities and CIPSH for a second five-year term as CIPSH Chair in Global Humanities in the School of Humanities. She will provide a CISPH perspective on the humanities globally and share some significant developments in Chinese humanities.
