The keynote video recording for the Forum for the Academy and the Public's annual conference (Feb. 7-8, 2025) is now available.
Dean Baquet, former executive editor of the New York Times, spoke on the "Crisis in the Newsroom." A response panel with Jodie Ginsberg (Committee to Protect Journalists), Wildore Mérancourt (AyiboPost), Hector Tobar (UCI professor and journalist/novelist), and Alan Weisman (author and journalist), moderated by Amy Wilentz (UCI professor of English), followed Baquet's remarks.
