Danzy Senna is the author of six critically acclaimed books of fiction and nonfiction, including the novels Caucasia, Symptomatic, New People, and most recently, Colored Television, an instant national bestseller. Senna is a recipient of the Whiting Writers Award and the 2016 Dos Passos Prize for Literature. She has written for the New Yorker, The New York Times, The Atlantic and Vogue, among other publications. She is currently a Professor of English and Creative Writing at the University of Southern California.
Aimee Bender graduated from UCI's MFA Program in 1998. She is the author of six books of fiction, including the New York Times Notable Book The Color Master, and The Butterfly Lampshade, longlisted for the PEN/Jean Stein Award. Her short fiction has been published widely in such places as Granta, McSweeney's, The Paris Review and more, and her writing has been translated into sixteen languages. She teaches writing at USC, where she is currently the director of the Literature & Creative Writing PhD Program.
